Smooth Leche Plan Recipe

Just as I promised, here is the recipe of the smooth leche plan:

Ingredients:

8 eggyolks

1 can evap milk (I use Alaska evap, the bigger one, the original one and not the cheaper)

1 can condense milk (I also use Alaska, the bigger and yes, not the cheaper one)

1/4 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup water

How To Prepare:

Before starting to prepare the leche plan mixture, put your steamer to the stove and let the water on it boil. (Bago gawin ang mixture, magpakulo na ng tubigsa inyong steamer na gagamitin )

1. Mix the egg yolks thoroughly using your hands(lamasing mabuti ang itlog gamit ang iyong kamay)

2. Strain the mixed egg yolk using a gauze (salain ang nalamas na itlog gamit ang lampin)

3. Mix the evap milk and the condense milk and the sugar to the strained egg yolk and mix it well using your hand (pagsama samahin lahat ng sangkap at lamasing mabuti gamit ang iyong kamay)

4. Make sure that there is no or little lumps (siguraduhing wala na o kaunti na lang ang buo buo)

5. Prepare the melted sugar that is to place on the leche plan mold or llanera. (Ayusin ang arnibal na ilalagay sa llanera bago nag leche plan mixture) Mix 1 cup brown sugar to 1/2 cup water. Boil the mixture until thick then put a table spoon or two on each mold. (Magtunaw ng isang tasang pulang asukal sakalahating tasang tubig. Pakuluin hanggang maging malapot at maglagay ng isa o dalawang kutsara sa llanera ).

6. Let it cool for a while. (Palamigin sandali)

7. Using the gauze you used earlier, strain the mixture to the mold. Fill it to thirds. ( Gamiting muli ang lampin na ginamit sa pagsasala ng itlog. Salain anghabang nilalagay sa llanera, huwag punuin mixture ). Seal the mold with aluminum foil. (Takpan ang llanera ng aluminum foil)

8. Put the mold with mixture on the steamer (that already is boiling) and let it cook for an hour. Check after an hour if the mixture is already cooked. You can do so by sticking a tooth pick on the mixture. If the tooth pick comes out clean, your leche plan is ready to devour. (Ilagay na ang llanera na may mixture sa steamer na kumukulo na ang tubig. Hayaang maluto ng mga isang araw at tingnan kung luto. Malalaman ito kung luto na gamit ang toothpick. Itusok ang toothpick sa leche plan at kapag malinis ang toothpick, ang iyong leche plan ay handa na sa iyo .)

The secret to make this mixture smooth is to mix it thoroughly, step 1 and step 3 and to make sure that the water in the steamer is already boiling before the mixture. (Ang sikrete para maging makinis ang leche plan ay ang paglamas mabuti sa mixture, step 1 and 3. Siguraduhin din na kumukulo na ang tubig sa steamer bago isalang ang lec

    oh my, now i know, secret for best leche flan.. i tried many times, pero bakit sabi nila, masarap pero parang puto..haha.. wait, i’ll bookmark this page.. yummy!!
